Función
As a Mainframe Console Operator at Kyndryl, you’ll be responsible for monitoring and controlling enterprise mainframe and distributed systems from the central operations console. In this role, you support system availability, respond to alerts, and ensure stable day‑to‑day operations across critical infrastructure environments.
You will proactively monitor system health, follow established operational procedures,
and escalate incidents as required to maintain service continuity. Your work directly contributes to the reliability and availability of business‑critical systems while providing an opportunity to grow foundational skills in mainframe operations.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor mainframe and distributed systems from the central operations console to ensure system availability and stability.
Respond to system alerts within defined response times and escalate incidents according to established procedures.
Track system availability, incidents, and operational events, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
Operate and monitor environments using tools such as z/OS Console, monitoring platforms, Tandem, and Unisys systems.
Follow operational runbooks and standard procedures while collaborating with higher‑level support teams as needed.
