Settlements Specialist
This position is responsible for clerical operations located in our Mexico City office with regards to our domestic and import/export rail, truck, and vessel business. Expected to understand grain quality, grain/freight invoicing, and customer needs. This position will work directly with our traders, operations, logistics, and accounting/finance teams.
**Principal Accountabilities**:
Data Capturing
Tickets, Invoices, Freight Execution, Ensure Data Integrity of capturing
Inventory Management
Reconciliation, Daily Stock Sheet, Unload/ Loadout Reports, Weight Losses, Statutory Reporting, In-house Reporting
Contract Management
Contract Send Out & Follow up, Close open Contracts, Position Accuracy by ensuring contracts are captured accurately
Month End
Accrual Calculations/Verifications, Ad hoc reporting required by manager, Data Integrity
AP/AR
Assist in moving away from cheques towards ACH payments, Request Payments from HC, Client Registration, Invoicing, Reconciliations
Audit
Assist with Internal/External Audit as directed by manager
Month End

Answer questions from finance, TBO, TLC teams and attend month-end reviews; help to revise processes as needed to ensure continuous improvement
**Required Qualifications**:
- 0-2 years clerical or customer service experience
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills
- Self-motivation and high accountability with ability to make sound decisions with mínimal supervision
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where quick decision making and managing of multiple priorities is required
- Strong written and oral communication skills
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Background in accounting and/or business administration a plus
- Strong mathematical and analytical ability
- Ability to work closely with a high-performing team
- Great adaptability and problem-solving ability
