**Tareas y responsabilidades fundamental (funciones esenciales)**:
- Responsible for leading and developing the AME team, including directing, coordinating and exercising authority for planning, organization, leadership, and completion of projects.
- Responsible to develop innovative automation solutions and technology developments from the initial concept phase through the complete development process including SaaS.
- Design and conduct research programs including proof of concepts for automation process validation.
- Develop and test production test cases for automation projects, including running optimization simulations; collecting data, process reviews; evaluating new technologies and presenting analyses.
- Lead the development of low cost of automation technology for assembly, testing and special processes.
- Connect with MFG SW group to integrate SW developments in the automations, such as AI, vision systems for robots, smart cell, digital twin controls.
- Execution of technology benchmarking studies in the field of automation.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures for mechatronics hardware implementation, mechatronics interaction with data processing and computer systems development and operations.
- Assist in business case development and analysis for new process developments; analyze current and potential product/market segments.
- Automation Engineering:



starting from initial design concept up to final solution, responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of project execution including mechanical design, electronics, controls, pneumatics, safety planning, & customer reviews.
- Specify requests and coordinate all sub-contracted work (i.e., FEAs, Product Validation and Testing, Prototype parts manufacturing, CAD drawing file conversion) and assure timely completion; meet with customers with respect to design/launch reviews.
- Lead the team to engineer and design robust and reliable automation solutions; maintain development library and history of proposals, CAD models, and supporting project information.
**Experiência (experiência mínima requerida)**:
**Education and Experience**:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Engineering and/or Engineering Technology or equivalent field.
- 5+ years of experience in the design of automated assembly/testing machinery in the manufacturing industry.
- 3+ years management experience preferred, with technical leadership skills for problem solving and conflict resolution.
**Job Requirements**:
- Extensive knowledge of engineering practices and principles as well as understanding scientific methods of problem solving.
- Demonstrated ability with cost analysis, product/process/Automation design methods, interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate all of these skills to a productive cost-effective result.
- Excellent program and project management skills with a sense of urgency and strong document management.
- Excellent analytical skills including the ability to analyze, troubleshoot, process, change and improve design and equipment.
