KEY OBJECTIVE:
The Technical Platform Owner is responsible for defining and driving the vision, strategy, and execution of the auto insurance platforms across Chubb's Digital Transformation. This role ensures that product direction aligns with business objectives, advances Chubb's underwriting craftsmanship and expertise digitally, and delivers measurable outcomes to customers, distribution partners, and internal stakeholders.
The Technical Platform Owner acts as the bridge between business leaders, underwriting teams, and engineering squads — translating strategy into a prioritized, actionable backlog and leading end-to-end delivery of auto underwriting solutions.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for setting the team vision and owning the full product lifecycle for the Auto Platforms, from discovery through delivery.
The person in this role will be accountable for:
- Establishing a clear vision,
ensuring it reflects the strategic goals of Chubb's digital transformation agenda in Auto business and delivers excellence to customers through technology.
- Owning holistic team performance against business objectives and outcomes, balancing cross-functional inputs from engineering, design, business, and operations to set and sustain a coherent product direction.
- Defining, refining, and prioritizing user stories, epics, and tasks daily, including leading backlog interactions with adjacent delivery units and shared platform teams.
- Creating, maintaining, and continuously prioritizing the team backlog using inputs from stakeholders, customers, and the delivery team, ensuring the squad always works on the highest-value items.
- Specifying acceptance criteria for each user story and authoring acceptance tests that give the team a clear definition of done grounded in business intent.
