The VEV Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the fabrication of prototypes from 3D CAD models and engineering drawings, interpret engineering designs, provide feedback on manufacturability, and solve fabrication challenges.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or an equivalent manufacturing engineering.
- Min of 2+ years in CAD software skills
- Solid background with virtual manufacturing tools
- Proven in-depth experience with CNC metal cutting and assembly manufacturing processes.
- Experience operating CNC equipment, cutting tools, milling machine, etc.
- Proficient layout and measurement skills utilizing calipers, tape measures, protractors, and fixturing tools.
- Comfortable handling and working with materials such as steel, aluminum, stainless steel, carbon fiber, foams, plastics, etc.
- High attention to detail and organization.
- Experience building prototype vehicles.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills (G8D) including working knowledge of Six Sigma.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a team.Demonstrated ability to lead, empower and develop employees.

- Proactively track, document, and provide feedback with clear communication to management and engineers on project status and outcomes.
- Maintain a clean and productive workplace.
