ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate as a member of an Agile team with the business to gather and define the business requirements, business definitions, process flows, dashboard design, and report design to create data analytics solutions.
- Publishes, distributes, and ensures sign-off of the requirements documents and controls all changes through a formalized change request process.
- Creates models to identify, validate, document, and communicate requirements and organize them into a comprehensive and understandable state to ensure that the client understands both the requirements and the results of changes to the system.
- Create and manage enterprise documentation, change controls, and communicate with clients and management to clarify, translate, and validate requirements.
- Perform data analysis against source systems and data warehouse.
- Build semantic models captured as Power BI workspaces and BusinessObjects universes
- Tests solutions to validate whether requirements have been met. Develops test plans, test scripts, and test conditions based on the business and system requirements.
- Coordinates prototype reviews and validates solution meets requirements and service-level agreements.
- Provides end-user support in post-deployment phases. Assesses and evaluates all feedback to ensure that the requirements necessary to correct issues are addressed.
- Define and prepare advanced data delivery designs and provide development support to leverage technology investments to support business needs.
- Identify project tasks and providing estimates for those tasks.
- Understands and identifies the correct resources to help define and validate both requirements and specifications.
- Provide training and support to business users to promote understanding of data analytics environment and usage of data analytics tools and features.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Power BI administration experience
- Power BI report and dashboard development experience




- Knowledge of data warehousing and data analytics concepts and methods.
- Experience contributing to and creating data warehouse project deliverables such as source system analysis, business definitions, mockups, data dictionary, and source to target mappings.
- Excellent communication skills working with business areas and other non-technical groups, translating requests into requirements.
- Experience working in a client-facing role with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Ability to work independently and within an Agile team environment.
- Advanced SQL experience leveraging complex SQL statements and analytics functions to perform data validation.
- Significant experience preparing advanced report designs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to express ideas effectively, verbally, and in writing.
- Ability to work on multiple simultaneous projects.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere and promote standard business analyst tools, principles, procedures and SDLC/Agile best practices.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
- SAP Business Objects 4.3 report development experience
- SAP Business Objects 4.3 universe design (unx) experience
- SAP Business Objects administration experience
- Oracle data warehouse environment experience
- SQL Server data warehouse environment experience
- PL/SQL development experience.
- Experience using Quest Toad Client Software
- Experience using SQL Server Management Studio
- Experience with one or more of the following software is a plus: Informatica IDMC, and Oracle Fusion.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BS/MS in a Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems related field.
- 7+ years experience working with Data analytics tools and a data warehouse environment to gather requirements, develop reports/dashboards, and validating results.
- 3+ years supporting Power BI administration and implementation
- 5+ years in reading, developing, and testing advanced SQL statements performing data analysis and reporting in an Oracle database environment.
