Description
The Rigger is responsible for executing the rigging activities required for the safe movement of ISO containers and heavy equipment at our plant/terminal located at the Port of Pichilingue, Baja California Sur, Mexico. The Rigger is responsible for preparing materials prior to lifting operations, installing and dismantling lifting gear, supporting the operation of heavy equipment when required, and ensuring all activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
The Rigger will maintain effective communication with the operations team and ensure compliance with the Company's Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) policies and procedures. This position requires physical demands such as walking, lifting materials and equipment, and standing for extended periods.

This is a temporary, full-time position created to support terminal operations based on current business needs.
The duration of the assignment will be determined by operational requirements.

Responsibilities
- Inspect and prepare ISO containers and other loads to be moved.
- Adjust, align,



and level heavy machinery and equipment as required to perform lifting operations safely.
- Attach and secure wire ropes, slings, and other rigging equipment, selecting the appropriate attachment points and load capacities for each lift.
- Identify and select the appropriate lifting equipment for each operation.
- Recognize and assess hazards associated with lifting and load-handling activities.
- Prepare lifting equipment, including slings, pulleys, shackles, clamps, bolts, and other rigging accessories.
- Inspect lifting equipment before and after each use, and properly store and maintain rigging equipment to ensure it remains in safe working condition.
- Handle and move loads using heavy equipment and, when required, manually.
- Ensure compliance with all Company and regulatory HSSE policies, procedures, and standards.
