This role supports financial analysis and reporting to help drive cost optimization, procurement strategy, and operational efficiency. The Analyst will partner closely with Supply Chain, Procurement, and Operations teams to evaluate and track savings initiatives, analyze material variances, and support strategic decisions such as make-vs-buy evaluations.
The ideal candidate is a proactive team member with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing finance, and the ability to support data-driven decision making and process improvements.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:
Savings & Initiative Tracking:
Support the financial tracking of procurement and engineering savings initiatives and inflation performance.
Review reported savings to ensure accuracy and alignment with forecast assumptions.
Assist in preparing reports and analyses of vigente and forward purchase price variances.
Gather and analyze data related to tariff impacts and support mitigation efforts.
Strategic Financial Analysis & Reporting:
Support analyses for make-vs-buy, make-vs-make, and supplier sourcing strategies.
Build and maintain Excel models to analyze and consolidate financial data.
Prepare summaries and presentations highlighting key findings.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering Cost Management, Logistics, Trade Compliance, and Finance teams to collect data and ensure alignment in reporting.
Continuous Improvement & Leadership:
Assist with improvements to reporting processes and data accuracy.
Maintain analysis templates, tracking files, and reporting tools.
Support standardization of reports and documentation across projects or categories.
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
3 years of experience in a related role
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise manufacturing finance principles including cost accounting and variance analysis.
Ability to pull together and summarize large amounts of data into concise explanations.
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience with supply chain analytics tools or BI platforms (, Power BI).
ERP Systems experience, preferably Oracle.
