**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 3+ years of relevant automotive product development experience.
- Knowledge of the overall program development life cycle.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).Experience analyzing data and formulating meaningful conclusions and recommendations.- Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field
- Prior experience with mass properties or development of weight estimates in the automotive field
**Your rol**:
- The Weight Specialit is responsible for managing program weight status for one or more vehicle programs starting from early concept approval and continuing through production launch. This individual will work closely with a cross functional team to track component and vehicle weights over the course of the development life cycle.
- A primary deliverable for this role includes the publication of official weight reports and the creation & maintenance of spring tables for production assembly plants.
- Daily activities include:
- Work closely with the Weight Lead and Program Team to develop and refine vehicle weight estimates
- Collaborate with Chassis Engineering to support spring development
- Create, maintain and communicate vehicle weight scorecards monthly
- Conduct component & vehicle weight audits in the CTC pilot and vehicle assembly plants
- Publish official weight reports including max options, Homologation, EPA report, spring & label tables, etc.
- Monitor Engineering bulletins for weight impact and provide feedback as appropriate
- Conduct monthly FE Label compliance audits, monitor vigente take rates for EPA options, tire and aero enablers
