**Role Description**
This is a full-time role for a CAD Drafter - Underground Fiber Optic Utilities, based on-site in Hermosillo, SON. The CAD Drafter will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, engineering drawings, and architectural drawings. They will be required to utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to draft plans and layouts related to underground fiber optic utilities. The drafter will collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare detailed civil infrastructure drawings for underground fiber optic installations using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Draft plans, profiles, and layouts of streets, sidewalks, and utilities, based on survey notes, sketches, and engineering instructions.
- Interpret and adjust data from topographical surveys and field information.
- Produce maps, diagrams, and cross-sections to support design and construction planning.
- Review sketches, redlines, and specifications to ensure compliance with project standards.
- Incorporate revisions and feedback from engineers and supervisors into final construction drawings.
- Assemble and organize drawing and documentation packages for municipal submittals.




- Communicate regularly with U.S.based engineers and project managers to align on requirements and resolve design issues.
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience, or equivalent CAD drafting experience.
- Proficiency in CAD drafting tools (AutoCAD required).
- Ability to read and interpret civil, electrical, and architectural drawings.
- English proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work on-site in Hermosillo, SON
- Relevant experience in underground fiber optic utilities is a plus
