POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for running the sourcing events as requested upon them from the Sites or BU’s and received through the appropriate system workflows.
The overall focus of the role is to manage the complete RFQ/RFP process and to select the most appropriate supplier for the intended scope of work based on Safety, Quality,
Delivery & Cost parameters and aligned with the global category strategy.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Execute the sourcing events on behalf of the Sites/BU’s as defined by the system workflows in a timely manner.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best value offering for Flowserve with respect to the scope of work and Site/BU needs; balancing Quality, Delivery and Cost. This includes any specific flowdowns or contractual terms relative to a specific scope.
- Where applicable, finalize contractual agreements such as Price Lists or Teaming Agreements per the specific scope of supply and ensure they are loaded appropriately within the applicable tools/ERPs.
- Comply with the sourcing strategy as set forth by the General Category Management function; including focusing spend on Partner & Preferred suppliers.
- Create and expedite any new supplier requests / supplier changes as required to support the BU operations through the MDG-Supplier proc
