**Job Description** Job Purpose (Summary / One - Line Description)**
An experienced and strategic Tax Manager responsible for leading all direct and indirect tax matters across American operations.
This role ensures full compliance with evolving regional tax laws, manages tax audits and disputes, mitigates tax risks, and drives effective tax planning to optimize business Strategy.
**Tax compliance & Reporting**:
- Lead the accurate and timely preparation, review, and filing of all direct and indirect tax returns across Americas (e.g., Corporate Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Tax, Excise Duties, Transfer Pricing Documentation) for all Americas entities, working closely with local finance teams and external advisors.
- Oversee compliance with local and international tax regulations
- Maintain and monitor tax calendars and filing deadlines.
**Tax Planning & Strategy**
- Develop and execute regional tax planning strategies to minimize effective tax rate and maximize cash flow while maintaining full compliance across the region.
- Provide tax advisory support for business transformations, cross-border transactions, M&A;, supply chain restructuring, and legal entity rationalizations.
- Evaluate and implement tax-efficient structures for commercial operations, capital flows, and new investments.
- Provide strategic tax guidance on business initiatives, including market expansion, restructuring and supply chain optimization.
**Risk Management & Governance**
- Serve as the primary contact for tax authorities in the region.
- Lead all tax audits, inspections, inquiries, disputes, and litigation; develop defence strategies and work closely with external counsel and advisors.
- Maintain relationships with Auditors, tax consultants, and legal advisors.
**Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering**
- Collaborate closely with local finance, supply chain, legal, and commercial teams to provide practical and aligned tax guidance.




- Act as a trusted partner to corporate HQ tax, advising on Americas specific challenges and opportunities.
- Provide tax support and training to in-country teams to elevate tax awareness and compliance maturity
- Partner with local finance, legal, supply chain and commercial teams to provide integrated tax advice on daily operations and new projects.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and legal firms
**Qualifications** Qualification**:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field.
Master's in taxation (strong plus)
**Additional Information** Experience**:
- 5 - 8 years of progressive experience in corporate tax, audits, and complex tax planning in countries including United States, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia.
- Demonstrated success managing regional tax functions in a multinational company
- Strong background in the manufacturing sector (chemical industry experience highly preferred)
- Proven experience managing cross-border tax matters, audits, and complex tax planning in countries including United States, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
**Key Skills & Competencies**:
**Technical Skills**:
- In-depth knowledge of Americas tax laws, including Corporate Tax, VAT, Transfer Pricing, and Customs Duties.
Deep, hands-on knowledge of tax compliance and planning
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems in a tax function.
Experience managing digital tax compliance platforms (e.g., e-invoicing mandates in Brazil/Mexico)
- Strong understanding of tax accounting (IFRS and local GAAP)
- Proven experience in manufacturing sector is essential (chemical industry Preferred)
