We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Mold Repair & Tooling Specialist to support plastic injection molding operations across multiple manufacturing facilities.
This role is responsible for mold troubleshooting, repair coordination, preventive maintenance, tooling improvements, and technical support to ensure optimal mold performance, product quality, and production efficiency.This Position is Based in SLP, Mexico and will travel 50% of the time to US/Brazil.The adecuado candidate will possess strong hands‐on experience with injection mold tooling, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and maintenance teams throughout the region.Key ResponsibilitiesesProvide regional technical support for plastic injection molds and tooling systems.Diagnose mold‐related production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtimee.Coordinate mold repair activities with internal teams and external tool shops.Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs for molds and toolingg.Evaluate tooling performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability, quality, and productivityy.Lead root cause investigations related to tooling failures, flash, short shots, dimensional concerns, and cosmetic defects.Manage mold refurbishment, engineering changes, and tooling optimization projects.Support new mold launches, validation activities,



and production transfers between facilitiess.Review mold designs and recommend modifications to improve manufacturability and maintainabilityy.Maintain tooling records, repair histories, spare parts inventories, and technical documentationn.Collaborate with suppliers, toolmakers, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely resolution of tooling issuess.Promote best practices and standardization across regional manufacturing locationsQualificationsedAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Tool & Die, or a related technical field, or equivalent experiencee.5+ years of experience in plastic injection molding and mold toolingg.Strong knowledge of mold construction, maintenance, repair, and troubleshootingg.Experience with hot runner systems, cooling circuits, slides, lifters, and mold componentss.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, mold designs, and GD&T; requirementss.Strong problem‐solving and root cause analysis skills.Willingness to travel regionally as requiredPreferrededExperience supporting multiple manufacturing sitess.Knowledge of mold flow analysis and tooling validation processess.Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologys.Experience managing tooling vendors and external repair suppliersWhat We OfferferCompetitive salary and performance incentivesageCareer growth opportunities within a regional manufacturing organizationionExposure to advanced molding technologies and tooling systemsemsCollaborative and innovative work environment#J-*****-Ljbffr
