We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Analyst with a mission to recommend and drive new initiatives and support our fast-growing organization.
As an Accounting Analyst, you will have the opportunity to build personalized relationships with key stakeholders across multiple functional departments within our dynamic finance organization.
Your innovative ideas and results-oriented approach will be essential to our continued success, and you will play a critical role in driving improvement and innovation as we grow.You willRecord and maintain journal entries ("JEs") to ensure accuracy in the general ledgerCollaborate with Operations and AP teams to ensure data accuracy and monthly accrualsKey contributor in the monthly close processes for accounting team by preparing journal entries and reconciliationsUpdate and maintain the company's accounting Standard Operating Procedures ("SOPs") for assigned areas, ensuring compliance with evolving business processes and accounting standardsAssist with prepaid schedules,



and maintain assigned balance sheet accounts accuracyAssist with lease schedules and support JE generationsAssist with Treasury team on payments initiations and processingSupport variance analysis and provide commentary on P&L; movementsHelp identify process improvements that streamline month-end closing and reporting processes, maximizing efficiency and accuracy, and support automation initiativesYou should haveStrong business level EnglishBachelor's Degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field2+ years of working experience in public accounting (preferably Big 4) and/or in an accounting function with strong understanding of accountingHigh attention to detail and problem-solving ability with a keen focus on continuous improvementPrioritization skills and the ability to execute on deliverables in a fast-paced and results-oriented environmentA willingness to embrace and drive changesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong Excel skillsCommitment to Equal OpportunityAt Flexport, our ability to fulfill our mission of making general commerce easy and accessible relies on having a diverse, dedicated and engaged workforce.
