Job Title: EE Systems Validation EngineerLocation:- Auburn Hills, MIDuration: Long TermClient: StellantisPosition SummaryStellantis is seeking a highly motivated EE Systems Validation Engineer to be responsible for validating next-generation electrical systems, automotive body controls, infotainment, propulsion, or active safety systems.
This role requires extensive use of CAN network testing protocols and Vector toolchains to test, troubleshoot, and isolate software/hardware defects across multiple test properties, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments, bench setups, and prototype vehiclesThe adecuado candidate will bridge the gap between requirements and execution, acting as a quality gate to ensure robust, production-ready vehicle software.Key ResponsibilitiesTest Design & Execution: Develop, update, and execute structured Design Verification Plans (DVPs) and test procedures based on functional component and system requirements.Network & Diagnostic Verification: Conduct deep-dive network validation, monitoring vehicle bus communications utilizing CAN, CAN FD, and LIN protocols.Vector Tool Utilization: Leverage Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) to log bus traffic, simulate electronic control unit (ECU) nodes via CAPL scripting, and perform diagnostic trouble code (DTC) analysis.Environment Testing: Perform validation testing across multiple domains: Subsystem Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Vehicle-HIL (VHIL), component test benches, and full production fleet vehicles.Root Cause & Issue Management: Track, perform initial triage, and analyze data for software/hardware anomalies.
Document issues using internal Stellantis defect tracking systems (e.g., GIMs/PITS/IMS)



and work cross-functionally with feature owners and tier-1 suppliers to drive resolutions.Continuous Automation: Implement automated testing methodologies to increase regression test coverage, validating Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) updates and diagnostic compliance.Required Skills & QualificationsEducation: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM degree field.Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of working experience in automotive engineering, specifically within software validation, embedded controls, or EE testing environments.Core Communications: Solid understanding of automotive networking protocols, particularly CAN (Controller Area Network), CAN FD, and automotive diagnostics.Toolchain Expertise: Hands-on proficiency with Vector Tools (CANoe, CANalyzer).
Experience configuring simulation networks, loading databases (.dbc, .arxml), and capturing/analyzing traces.Testing Hardware: Familiarity interfacing with HIL Simulators (e.g., dSPACE, NI) and standard electrical bench debugging equipment (Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters).
Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills to effectively collaborate across multi-cultural matrix organizations and supplier teams.Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)Demonstrated proficiency writing CAPL scripts or Python for test environment automation and message simulation.Prior experience with Stellantis internal processes, engineering validation standards, and quality management frameworks (DFMEA, DVP&;R).
Experience validating Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) architectures or ADAS/Active Safety modules.Certified in reactive quality methodologies (e.g., Shainin Red X, Kepner-Tregoe, Green Belt/Black Belt problem solving).
