ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is a well-established general manufacturer of consumer products seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations at its Tijuana facility.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who is passionate about operational excellence, employee development, continuous improvement, and delivering world-class performance in a fast-paced production environment.
The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring the achievement of safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all day-to-day production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing operations.
Drive operational excellence by improving productivity, quality, efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Ensure production schedules are executed on time while meeting customer expectations.
Develop and mentor production supervisors and frontline leaders to build high-performing teams.
Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Monitor and improve key manufacturing metrics, including productivity, scrap, labor efficiency, downtime, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery.
Champion Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the operation.
Collaborate closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain,



Maintenance, Planning, Human Resources, and Finance to optimize plant performance.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production, quality, and operational issues.
Manage labor planning, staffing requirements, and workforce development initiatives.
Support new product introductions and manufacturing process improvements.
Develop and manage departmental budgets while controlling manufacturing costs.
Foster employee engagement and maintain positive employee relations.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
Minimum 3 years leading production operations in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Experience managing multiple production supervisors and large hourly workforces.
Strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and problem-solving methodologies.
Demonstrated ability to improve KPIs through data-driven decision making.
Experience working within ERP/MRP systems.
Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
Availability to work in Tijuana, Baja California.
Target Salary: Around $3,300 Pesos/Daily + Benefits
