Source Scheduler
Hybrid Position - Faucets Plant - Juarez, Reciente León
Under the supervisionof the Manager-Source Scheduler, a Manager-Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, or aManager-Supply Chain, responsible for regional source scheduling, 5 differentplants, over ****-part numbers – 100 different vendors overseas and domestics, maintaininga purchased components and finished goods planning schedule for assignedproduct line(s).
The level of experienceand ability will determine what level the associate would be hired at.
The job responsibilities remain approximatelythe same.
Following is a breakdown ofthe variations in the three levels
Advanced knowledge of SAP;capable of handling frequent customer service contact; good communicationskills; ability to interact with upper management.
Ability to analyze data, propose solutions toproblems and improve processes.
Able to drive improvement of vendors' deliveryperformance even in challenging situations.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Place andmaintain suppliers purchase orders for on‐time delivery of materials under MRP orequivalent planning engines.
Maintaincommunication with vendors to ensure a quick execution of "MRP exceptionmessages" when a Purchase Order Date has to be adjusted
Coordinatewith vendors for an expedited mode of transportation when necessary
Work withvendors to maintain a low Air freight spend
Follow upreceiving process of purchased components and finished goods to ensure POrelated issues will prevent timely payment of vendors invoices
Whennecessary,
escalatethrough vendor management and internally within Kohlerorganization to drive vendors delivery improvement
Maintain anoptimum stock value of purchased components and finished goods
Provideoperations within scope with critical materials to avoid manufacturingdowntime
Ensureproper deployment and use of system parameters to avoid overstock andshortages
Maintaintools that will allow Kohler FMG to identify when financial impact of airfreight or production downtime is supplier's responsibility
Work with toolsto identify supplier capacity concerns, and work with other Kohler FMGdepartments to prevent or address those concerns
Set high standards ofperformance by measuring and reducing inventory to increase turns.
Build trust by workingin partnership with manufacturing, suppliers and buyers to reduce leadtimes and minimum order quantities.
Drivecontinuous improvements for smaller more frequent deliveries, just intime.
Performs other assignments as directed bysupervision.
EDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
AssociatesDegree in Business / Operations Management desired.
4+ yearsworking in a materials planning and scheduling in a manufacturing orpurchasing environment.
Experiencein inventory management, ERP/MRP and KanBan systems.
Demonstratedcontinuous improvement, mathematical, problem‐solving and organizational skills.
Intermediateproficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Ability towork in a team environment.
Excellentverbal and written communication skills
