The Senior Dev Ops Engineer designs and implements Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems to deploy applications to Cloud and On-Premises Server infrastructure.
The position plays a central role in defining and implementing Dev Ops best practices throughout the organization.
The position is highly visible and frequently collaborates with various levels of IT leadership.Essential FunctionsStrategic Architectural Contribution:Leads and drives architectural direction for establishing Dev Ops best practices in accordance with Client'sstrategic business objectivesImplements Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery systems for deploying solutions to the cloud and on-premises infrastructure at scaleSystems DeliveryImplements Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery systems to meet market competitive needsLeads the supports of Dev Ops systems to meet or exceed customer Service Level Agreements (SLA's) expectationsLeadershipProvides leadership and direction for Enterprise Dev Ops processesDevelops and implements plans to cross-train Engineering teams in Dev Ops processes, products,
and technologies to develop high-availabilityCreates and maintains successful partnerships with Engineering and QA teamsCore CompetenciesAbility to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teamsLeadership and passion for training and coaching other Dev Ops and Software EngineersKnowledge of logical and physical system designAbility to work independently and collaborativelySolid technical skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skillsRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor's Degree (BA) in Computer Science or closely related fieldMinimum of 5 years' experience in setting up Dev Ops practices enterprise wideMinimum of 3 years building Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery SystemsMinimum of 3-5 years' experience building and leading Dev Ops teams and deploying complex software3+4 years of experience working with modern source control tools like Github, Bitbucket, Azure Dev Ops Server, TFS, etc.,3+4 years of experience with automated configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, Chef3+4 years of experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Atlassian Bamboo, Team City, Azure Dev Ops Server, etc.2-3 years of experience with Azure or AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes2-3 years of experience working in Scrum teams with planning, scoping, and creation of technical solutions for new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production
