The Infrastructure Engineering team is focused on building the core platforms and tooling that power modern software delivery across Zillow Group. We work on high-impact engineering problems spanning cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, automation, developer experience, and reliability. Our team combines strong software engineering with deep systems expertise, creating tools and services that make it easier for engineers across the company to build, ship, and run great software at scale.

About the role

This role is a great fit for engineers who enjoy solving deep technical problems with broad organizational impact. As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Industry Platform Engineering team, you will work on the underlying platforms and tooling that power software delivery at scale — building systems that hundreds of engineers rely on every day. It combines hands-on software development with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, automation, and developer experience, making it a strong opportunity for someone who loves both building and enabling.

- Design, build, test, and maintain production-quality platform services, internal tools, and automation frameworks used by engineering teams across the organization
- Build and operate infrastructure services on AWS using Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, and Docker in production environments
- Develop automation and CI/CD tooling to improve software delivery speed, reliability, and developer experience
- Troubleshoot complex issues across the full stack — from application and runtime to containers, networking, and cloud services
- Collaborate with peers across software engineering, DevOps, and systems engineering to translate operational needs into scalable software solutions
- Contribute to infrastructure as code practices and help define engineering standards across teams

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and instead work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live anywhere in Mexico, with availability to travel to Mexico City,



as we recommend attendance at occasional office events.

In addition to a competitive base salary and benefits, this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.

Who you are

- Strong software engineering skills with experience designing, building, and maintaining production-quality code
- Proficiency in Go and/or Python for building infrastructure tools, services, and automation
- Solid hands-on experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure in production environments
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized application platforms
- Strong Linux systems knowledge, including scripting, performance analysis, and systems debugging
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and software delivery automation
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code and tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Docker
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, networking, security, and observability
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working across software engineering, DevOps, and systems engineering teams
- Nice to have: experience building internal developer platforms, service mesh, secrets management, multi-cluster Kubernetes, or observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry); background in platform engineering, SRE, or production engineering
