The Role:

New Fortress Energy is seeking an Electrical & Power Systems Lead to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electrical power generation and distribution systems across our Fast LNG portfolio.

This role will serve as the technical authority for High- medium- and low-voltage electrical systems, generators, switchgear, transformers, protection systems, UPS, variable frequency drives (VFDs),



and critical electrical infrastructure while driving electrical reliability, system integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Technical Services teams to ensure electrical assets are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance while supporting outages, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and executing capital improvement projects.

What you will do:

- Serve as the technical authority for all electrical power generation and distribution systems.
- Support the reliability and integrity of generators, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, UPS systems, VFDs, and electrical infrastructure.
- Develop electrical reliability strategies and preventive maintenance programs.
- Lead troubleshooting of complex electrical faults and power system disturbances.
- Support electrical system commissioning, startup, shutdown, and major outages.
- Perform system studies and support arc flash, protection coordination, and load analysis activities.
- Maintain electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, protection settings, and technical documentation.
- Support electrical contractor oversight and technical quality reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve electrical system reliability and availability.
- Participate in incident investigations and electrical root cause analyses.
- Support compliance with NFPA, IEEE, IEC, and company electrical standards.
- Develop long-term electrical asset lifecycle and replacement strategies.
- Mentor electrical technicians and provide technical leadership.




- Promote safe electrical work practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you bring:

- Extensive experience supporting LNG, offshore, power generation, or heavy industrial facilities.
- Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems.
- Experience with generators, switchgear, protective relays, transformers, MCCs, UPS systems, and VFDs.
- Strong understanding of electrical protection and power distribution.
- Experience supporting gas turbine power generation facilities.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and hazardous area classifications.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical failures.
- Strong communication and technical leadership skills.

Work Conditions:

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, work at height above ground on stairs and catwalks, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk or hear, smell, type and write.
- Must be able to board a ship via a gangway, climb to the top of a tank (200+ steps), scale vertical steel ladder up to forty feet or more in height and lift and move objects weighing up to 30 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work indoors & outdoors, and be exposed to year-around weather conditions, ocean environment, and noise.

There is a considerable number of outdoor activities involved.
