- Improve sand casting / iron casting processes and production yield.- Troubleshoot casting defects such as porosity, NCU, core shift, over-grinding, inclusions, and dimensional issues.- Conduct process audits and ensure foundry process controls are followed.- Analyze production, scrap, yield, and defect trends using data-driven methods.- Work with complex core assemblies, material flow, and production tracking.- Analyze machining feedback and Pareto defect maps to identify foundry root causes.- Lead 8D, Root Cause Analysis, DOE, CAPA, and continuous improvement activities.- Understand casting drawings, machining drawings, CAD models, GD&T;, and specifications.- Support new product validation, process development, and production ramp-up.- Drive improvements in yield, throughput, quality, and production efficiency.- Communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
