About the Company
The company specialized in large-scale construction and mission-critical infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on data center development and high-performance industrial environments.
We are looking for a highly experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead safety operations and regulatory compliance during the execution of complex construction projects.
This position is adecuado for professionals with proven experience in data center construction, mission-critical facilities, industrial megaprojects, hyperscale environments, or high-risk construction operations requiring strict OSHA compliance and advanced safety management practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesSafety Program Management
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs, policies, procedures, and site-specific safety plans.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, construction safety standards, and company safety protocols.
- Lead safety orientation programs for employees, contractors, subcontractors, and visitors entering the job site.
- Promote a behavior-based safety culture and ensure adherence to all safety requirements.
Site Inspections & Risk Assessment
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety inspections across construction sites.
- Identify unsafe conditions, hazardous activities, and potential risks related to electrical systems, energized equipment, heavy machinery, elevated work, confined spaces, crane operations, excavation, rigging, and material handling.
- Perform Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), risk assessments, and corrective action tracking.
- Monitor housekeeping, PPE compliance, lockout/tagout procedures, fall protection systems, and emergency response readiness.
Incident Investigation & Reporting
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses,
and unsafe behaviors to determine root causes.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
- Maintain detailed safety documentation, reports, logs, and compliance records.
- Coordinate reporting processes with regulatory agencies when required.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and client-specific EHS requirements.
- Maintain OSHA documentation, permits, inspection records, training logs, and audit reports.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Stay updated on changes in OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
Training & Leadership
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety meetings, emergency response drills, and compliance training.
- Mentor field teams and supervisors on safety leadership and hazard prevention.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure alignment with project safety expectations.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to EHS performance metrics and KPIs.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with project management and construction teams during planning and execution phases.
- Participate in pre-construction meetings, scheduling discussions, and operational planning to integrate safety into all activities.
- Support project mobilization, commissioning, and close-out activities from an EHS perspective.

Required QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, Safety Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety management.
- Minimum 3 years managing EHS operations for:
- Data center construction projects
- Mission-critical facilities
- Industrial megaprojects
- Hyperscale or high-complexity construction environments
- Experience managing subcontractors, multiple crews, and high-risk construction activities.
- Strong field-based safety management experience required.
Certifications
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification (required)
- OSHA 500 Certification (preferred)
- CSP - Certified Safety Professional (preferred)
- Additional certifications related to fall protection, confined space, electrical safety, or first aid are considered a plus.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong understanding of:
- OSHA regulations

- Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
- Fall protection systems
- Electrical safety standards
- Incident investigation methodologies
- Risk management and hazard analysis
- Knowledge of data center construction environments preferred.
