We are seeking a highly motivated **Commodity Specialist - NPI** to support sourcing and supplier strategy for new product introductions.
This role will be responsible for ensuring material availability, supplier readiness, and cost competitiveness during product launches.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead sourcing activities for **New Product Introduction (NPI)** projects
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance
- Develop and execute **commodity sourcing strategies** aligned with business objectives
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements with suppliers
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Operations to support product launches
- Ensure supplier readiness, capacity, and compliance for new programs
- Drive **cost reduction initiatives** (PPV, VA/VE)
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when needed
- Support risk mitigation and ensure supply continuity
Experiência y requisitos
**Required Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- **Minimum 3+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing / Procurement**:
- Experience in **manufacturing environments (preferred: aerospace,



medical, or industrial)**:
- Strong knowledge of **supplier negotiation and cost analysis**:
- Experience supporting **NPI or product launches**:
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience managing **commodities (metals, plastics, electronics, or similar)**:
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma methodologies
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) is a plus
