**Job Summary**:
The **Logistics Specialist** is responsible for managing pickup activities and related processes, both before and after pickup—up to one hour post-departure.
This role involves short-cycle tasks such as confirming carrier arrival times, performing check calls for arrivals and departures, and inputting shipment data.
In addition, the role includes longer-cycle responsibilities such as analyzing compliance performance, ensuring information accuracy, and escalating issues related to carrier communication or system deviations.
This position closely aligns with a Logistics Coordinator role but carries additional ownership over process monitoring and escalation.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Confirm **Carrier ETA** at least **2 hours before pickup**.
- Confirm **arrival check calls**.
- Report **loading delays or issues**.
- Update **trailer numbers** and **delivery notes** in system.
- Stop departure from supplier when required.
- Communicate **TONU** (Truck Ordered Not Used) situations through appropriate escalation channels.
- Maintain real-time **shipment status** within **Optimiz**.
- Identify and escalate deviations to **Operations** and **IT systems**.
**Job Requirements**:
- Proficiency with **Microsoft 365** tools: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams, SharePoint, and Visio.
- Experience with **ProTrans systems**: Optimize, BIAPPS, IT Client Portal, Cloud.Samsara, Insight.Skybitz.
- **Bilingual fluency** in **English and Spanish** (written and spoken).
