**How This Role Works (2 Phases)Phase 1: Onsite in the U.S. (6-12 months)**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Draft, review, and summarize legal documents
- Conduct legal research
- Support attorneys with case preparation
- Communicate with U.S.based teams and clients
- Manage multiple matters and deadlines
**Qualifications**
**Education**
- Law degree (Licenciatura en Derecho) — _required_
- Legal specialization or certifications — _a plus_
**Experience & Skills**
- Experience with legal documents and research
- Familiarity with U.S. legal terminology — _preferred_
- Strong organization and attention to detail
**English**
- Advanced English (C1 / TOEFL iBT 95+) — _required_
- Professional written and verbal communication
**J-1 Program Eligibility (required)**
You must qualify under one of the following:
**J-1 Intern**
- Currently enrolled in a degree program outside the U.S., OR
- Graduated within the last 12 months
**J-1 Trainee**
- Degree + 1 year of relevant experience, OR
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
**Requirements**:
**Relocation**
- Must be willing and able to relocate to the U.S. temporarily (6-12 months)
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one
- No immigration restrictions for visa eligibility
**Remote Work (Post-Onsite)**
- High-speed internet and private workspace
- Ability to work independently
- Familiarity with tools like Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Zoom
- Availability during U.S. business hours

**Compensation**
- **Onsite Phase**: Competitive U.S.aligned compensation (discussed during placement)
- **Remote Phase**:
- MXN $28,000 - $65,000/month (~$1,500 - $3,600 USD)
- Above-market pay based on experience
- Full employment (not contractor-based)
