**Position Overview**
We are seeking a **highly proficient Bilingual Paralegal / Legal Assistant (Advanced English required)** to join our **Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Department**.
This is a **100% on-site position in Guadalajara** supporting U.S. attorneys and legal staff with active bankruptcy cases.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Draft, review, and file **Chapter 13 bankruptcy plans**, amendments, and related documents
- Monitor **ECF court filings** daily and process incoming court notices
- Review and respond to **Motions for Relief**, **Motions to Dismiss**, and other pleadings
- Support **Mortgage Modification Mediation (MMM)** processes
- Submit and track requests involving **vehicle purchases** and **student loan adjustments** within bankruptcy plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and track all **court deadlines**
**Required Qualifications**




- **Advanced English (spoken and written)** - essential for daily communication with U.S. attorneys
- Experience as a **Paralegal or Legal Assistant**:
- Knowledge of **Chapter 7 and/or Chapter 13 bankruptcy** preferred
- Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to work **full-time on-site** in Guadalajara (no remote option)
**Preferred Skills**
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- **Legal drafting** experience in English
- Paralegal Certificate or Legal Studies degree
- Familiarity with U.S. court systems and bankruptcy procedures
