**Sr.
Buyer, Capital Equipment**:

Performs key commercial aspects of Indirect purchasing such as: identify core function or business unit specifications, market research, supplier selection, price negotiation, and in some cases global coordination.
Will lead efforts with regional and general Indirect purchasing members as well as establish the development of the assigned category strategies.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leads set cost reduction objectives and develop cost reduction strategies with suppliers, core functions and business units.
- Manages selection and sourcing suppliers as part of the strategic supply base while meeting functional or business unit commitments and requirements
- Conducts market tests and cost control renegotiations to maintain cost competitiveness
- Serves as the first point of contact and liaison to the supply base
- Leads the negotiation of the contract or master service agreement with each supplier
- Manages the selection of alternate sources of suppliers to ensure continuity,



consistency of quality and competitive pricing
- Manages Supplier performance according to QCDE (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Environmental) to achieve overall targets and objectives.
- Processes Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Quotation (RFQ) as well as maintaining service pricing and contracts (SAP - COUPA)
- Ensures compliance with all documentation (including NDA, supplier contracts, pricing sheets, etc.)
- Ensures data integrity and compliance with Purchasing cost reduction road map
- Follows the New Supplier Form (NSF) set up process to ensure that all new suppliers are set up timely and accurately
- Negotiates payment terms to ensure the best terms for YNA.
- Supports/Achieves Global cost improvement initiatives by developing sourcing strategies that are presented in Pre-Sourcing meetings.
- Identifies savings opportunities and works with each Regional Indirect Team on cross regional projects
- Manages Supply Chain optimization through price harmonization, localization and logistics routes as necessary
- Establishes the supplier KPI's and monitors the performance of the supplier through regular business meetings




- Establishes internal meetings with core functions and business units to understand upcoming business changes/goals to ensure they are aligned.
- Continuous improvement activities by identifying changes and enhancements to systems or processes.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
Degree Requirements:
**Bachelor's Degree or relevant degree preferred or equivalent work experience**
Certification Requirements:
None
Previous Experience:
**Required: 5-8 years previous Indirect Purchasing for Sr.
Buyer, Automotive Experience**
Preferred: 5+ years, Ability to read and understand contracts.
Strong automotive experience preferred with purchasing of Indirect categories such as: Equipment for Distribution Centers, Automation, Wire Harness
Travel Requirements:
70% Local, 20% Regional - National, and 10% International
**Language**:
**English required**; Spanish preferred
