Analyst, International Tax ComplianceAmazon is looking for an Indirect Tax Compliance Sr.
Analyst that will be responsible for supporting and supervising tax compliance activities, as well as assisting with tax audits and projects implementation for Mexico.Key job responsibilitiesExecute the day to day activities regarding indirect taxes (VAT and IEPS)Prepare, analyze and supervise filing tax returns and reporting obligationsPerform tax compliance activities to support the Global team responsible for accounting, corporate and intercompany transactionsWork with tax technology and FinTech teams to come up with automated solutions to the compliance process and assist with implementation to reduce manual workDeveloping, implementing and documenting tax compliance process improvementsProvide assistance attending authorities and government agencies on assessments, audits and any relevant issuesReview financial data for proper application of tax laws and transfer pricingFollow up with tax law changes and implement new processes and strategiesHelp coordinating and reviewing activities of contractorsUpdate, monitor and control metricsA day in the lifePerform tax compliance activities to support the Integral team responsible for accounting, corporate and intercompany transactions.Supervise tax compliance, filing returns and reporting obligations.Work with tax technology and IT teams to come up with automated solutions to the compliance process and assist with implementation.Developing, implementing and documenting tax compliance process improvements.Coordinate and manage the use of outside advisors for preparing and filing tax returns and reporting obligations.Provide assistance to local tax audits and controversy matters.Review financial data for proper application of tax laws and transfer pricing.Develop and maintain knowledge of tax laws and current developments to identify potential impacts on the Amazon business.Monitor industry positions relevant to Amazon's Mexico business operations.Follow up with tax law changes and implement new processes and strategies.About the teamInclusive team cultureAt Amazon we embrace our differences and we are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion.
