Position Summary:
We're looking for a proactive, assertive, and detail-orientedAccounts Receivable Specialistto help untangle the complexities of our collections process.
You'll work closely with our in-house accounting team, project managers, and insurance contacts to identify roadblocks to payment, track down missing documentation, and follow up with customers and insurance adjusters to ensure we get paid — quickly and completely.
What You'll Do:
Investigate aged receivables by researching accounts inSalesforceand internal systems
Proactively follow up with insurance companies, adjusters, and customers to identify missing documents or approvals.
Coordinate with internal team members (project managers, field staff) to obtain required items such as certificates of completion, final sign-offs, and customer approvals
Build a deep understanding of our receivables process and become a key support for the accounting team
Maintain clear records of communications and progress in Salesforce
Escalate complex issues and make recommendations to streamline collections
Develop trust and become a go-to team member for our accountant and leadership team
Stay relentlessly on top of accounts to prevent delays — politely persistent, but never pushy




What We're Looking For:
Prior experience inAccounts Receivable , collections, or insurance billing (restoration/construction industry is a plus)
Comfortable navigatingSalesforceor other CRM/accounting systems
Strong communication skills — you're comfortable picking up the phone, following up regularly, and handling tough conversations with professionalism
Analytical mindset — you can review an account, ask the right questions, and see the whole picture
Self-starter with strong follow-through
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly
Team player who's not afraid to speak up and clarify assignments when needed
