Our client, a world-class manufacturing company, is seeking a Sr.
Automation & Robotics Manager within the metal‐mechanic industry.
This leadership role is responsible for directing and managing the Automation and Controls department, ensuring the successful implementation of high-impact automation projects across multiple manufacturing lines and locations.
The adecuado candidate will provide technical guidance across engineering disciplines, collaborate on cross‐functional projects (including remote sites), and continuously identify and integrate emerging technologies to improve productivity and process reliability.
This position requires strong technical expertise, team leadership, and a passion for innovation in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Note: This position is available only under Mexican payroll.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Manufacturing Engineering
Minimum 10 years of experience managing engineering or automation teams in an industrial manufacturing setting
At least 5–7 years of hands‐on experience in Automation, Controls Engineering, or Robotics integration




Experience in high‐volume, precision manufacturing environments is highly valued
Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish
Technical Knowledge / Experience
Model‐based design, simulation, and software validation (Matlab, ANSYS, Comsol, Abaqus)
3D mechanical design and program management (SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent)
Advanced PLC programming, SCADA, and HMI systems integration
Industrial robotics: setup, programming, and integration (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA)
Software development in C/C++/C#, Python, SQL Server, Visual Basic
Experience in machine vision systems, optical sensors, and automation for quality inspection
Strong understanding of forward/reverse kinematics, control loops, and process optimization
Ability to lead technical teams in programming, troubleshooting, and designing control systems from scratch

Lead the development and implementation of automation projects to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs
Establish and promote best engineering practices in controls, robotics, and industrial automation
Coordinate projects across multiple plants,



including remote or international locations
Oversee the automation of manual operations and integration of new technologies into production lines
Ensure alignment of automation initiatives with overall plant strategy and productivity goals
Drive cycle time reduction, quality improvements, and OEE gains
Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations teams on cross‐functional improvement efforts
Participate in the validation and ramp‐up of new equipment, tools, and production lines
Develop suppliers and technical partners for automation and equipment fabrication
Provide training and mentorship to technical personnel, ensuring competency development and performance
Lead and coordinate continuous improvement projects within the automation function
