The Head of Shared Hosting will be responsible for managing and scaling Ultahost's shared hosting platform infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across our global hosting environment.This role requires deep experience in Linux-based hosting environments, control panel ecosystems, infrastructure automation, and large-scale shared hosting operations.You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, Dev Ops, support, and product teams to continuously improve our shared hosting platform and customer experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the strategy, architecture, and operations of Ultahost's shared hosting platformManage and optimize large-scale Linux shared hosting environmentsOversee infrastructure built around c Panel, Plesk, Direct Admin, or similar control panelsEnsure high availability, uptime, and performance of shared hosting serversDesign and implement scalable hosting architecture across multiple data centersOptimize server resource utilization including CPU, RAM, storage, and network performanceWork with Dev Ops and infrastructure teams to improve automation, provisioning,



and deployment workflowsEstablish security standards and best practices for shared hosting environmentsMonitor infrastructure performance and ensure proactive incident managementManage vendor relationships related to hosting software licenses and infrastructure toolsBuild and mentor a team responsible for shared hosting platform operationsCollaborate with product and support teams to improve customer experience and platform reliabilityRequired Qualifications5+ years of experience in web hosting, cloud infrastructure, or large-scale hosting environments2+ years of leadership or team management experience in infrastructure, hosting operations, or platform engineeringStrong expertise in Linux server administration (Alma Linux, Cent OS, Ubuntu, Debian) within production hosting environmentsDeep understanding of shared hosting architecture and multi-tenant hosting environmentsHands‐on experience with hosting control panels such as c Panel/WHM, Plesk, or Direct AdminStrong knowledge of web server technologies including Apache, Nginx, Lite Speed, or Open Lite SpeedExperience managing large-scale shared hosting platforms serving thousands of websites or customersSolid understanding of virtualization technologies such as KVM, Proxmox, or VMware, and experience working with virtualized infrastructure clustersFamiliarity with container technologies (e.g., Docker) and modern infrastructure environments is a plusExperience with database systems such as My SQL / Maria DB including performance optimization in hosting environmentsStrong understanding of server security practices, firewall management, and hosting environment hardeningExperience with infrastructure monitoring, alerting systems,
