Materials Program Manager (MPM) - MX— Looking for a solid Materials Program Manager to support an autonomous vehicle company's Supply Chain department.
This role requires a background in materials planning and familiarity with key vendors for electronics components, mechanical components, automotive components, etc.
The primary responsibility ismanual demand planning (Manual MRP experience).
There is no SAP, ERP, or software suite used; this ismanual production planning/Manual MRPthrough Excel/Google Sheets, so advanced Excel or Google Sheets experience is essential.
ScopeStrong understanding of theClear To Build(CTB) report.
Some companies call it a shortage or build status report.
CTB is essentially an MRP concept focused on material availability for builds.
Experience withManual Demand Planning ,Manual Production Planning , andManual MRPas key requirements.
Degree in Supply Chain or related field is ideal.
Analyze manufacturing build plans against inventory/supply chain data to determine material demand for replenishment.
Retrieve quotes from suppliers and submit purchase orders.
Manage delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive ahead of required dates.
Track and mitigate excess and obsolescence.
QualificationsStrong understanding of theClear To Buildreport (CTB).
CTB is essentially an MRP concept used for batch/lot production terminology.
Experience withManual Demand Planning ,Manual Production Planning , andManual MRPis essential.
Advanced spreadsheet/Excel skills; ability to generate complex dashboards, tools, and reports.




Proficiency with formulas such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, COUNTIF, IFERROR, INDEX, MATCH, MIN, etc.
Solid experience as a Materials PM, Buyer/Planner, Materials Planner, or similar roles.
Ability to read and understand bills of materials (BOMs) and maintain inventory accuracy.
Strong knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system functionality.
