Summary The Director Materials Management System will provide vision and strategic direction for how we manage material flow and improve our DIOH performance, deploying innovative tools like Lean DNA and developing other AI assisted tools to help improve Material performance.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

- Optimize and improve velocity of material flow and information flow to match customer CRSD and LT expectations – design and execute strategies for CTO, ETO and MTS BUs

- Establish the foundations for material pull thought out the value stream – from Supplier to Spare parts OTD

- There is a upfront optimization of Procurement practices and within the factory material flow process – build and enable both to deliver industry leading DIOH < 40 days, OTD of 95% and LT < 8 weeks

- Develop process and capabilities in the materials and procurement organization to improve inventory turns, supplier compliance, enable supplier LT and MOQ reductions

- Develop key processes and metrics to improve daily management and inventory management at gemba

- Build competencies and Lean Material Flow assessments at factories to improve OTD , DIOH and help drive supplier performance around LT improvementsWork closely with procurement teams to drive and improve supplier engagement with our material management system like Lean DNA or others

- Evaluate the performance of Lean DNA and team – manage that relationship and drive continuous improvement in their performance to help meet our objectives

- Build and improve our Inventory Management and Materials Flow tool kit for our Customer to Order, Engineered to Order and Made to Stock – BUs





- Build out Dashboards and Problem solving process – enable integral obeya for our materials management and flow process.

Other Responsibilities – related to Lean DNA and other Materials Management Tool

- Build the inventory management system and improve the performance by making it our Standard Work.

- Ensure sufficient program governance is deployed ensuring compliance to policies and processes.

- Develop-Monitor KPIs that matter for DIOH, Supplier OTD, Supplier Q, Using our supplier portal and other dashboards, LTs improvements, MOQ improvements – driving the right discussions with Procurement teams

- Build robust alignment and partnerships with Operations teams and IT support – build the IT and AI infrastructure to model, simulate and deliver scenario planning for material performance – LT, DIOH, Supplier capability, logistics, PFEP

- Facilitate supplier onboarding and supplier compliance within the program into out Materials Systems

- Develop/mentor the Material Management team.

- Ensure the program is agile, adapting to changing business conditions and technological advancements.

Required, Capabilities, Experience and Degree Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably within Supply Chain Management) required, MBA preferred.

- Possess 10-15 years of experience in supply chain management and operations with a history of driving change in a multinational environment.

- Working knowledge of SAP inventory and materials management capabilities

- Working knowledge Lean principals and techniques to drive continued process improvements.

- Program management experience with a deep understanding of materials and inventory management

- Able to travel globally (Up to 25% Travel).

- Strong communication skills - written and oral.

- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.

- ASCM certification preferred.
