descripción del trabajo a world-class manufacturing company is looking for a materials & logistics manager to lead and optimize its end-to-end supply chain operations. This position plays a critical role in overseeing production scheduling, materials management, inventory control, and logistics execution to ensure operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth.
main responsibilities
- design, implement, and monitor production schedules that effectively balance customer requirements, production capabilities, and resource availability.
- direct material planning activities to guarantee uninterrupted supply of raw materials, purchased components, and production-critical items.
- establish and maintain effective inventory management strategies to improve accuracy, reduce excess stock, and prevent material shortages.
- manage all logistics functions, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and distribution activities.
- partner closely with procurement, manufacturing, quality, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure efficient material flow throughout the operation.
- analyze supply chain performance metrics and drive improvements in key areas such as delivery performance, inventory optimization, forecast accuracy, and production schedule attainment.
- champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, operational efficiency, process standardization, and service enhancement.
- lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing materials and logistics team,
fostering accountability and professional growth.
- ensure adherence to corporate policies, quality standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements across all supply chain activities.
required qualifications
- bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, operations management, or a related discipline; master’s degree is a plus.
- minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in materials management, production planning, inventory control, and logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and developing talent in fast-paced operational settings.
- strong understanding of erp and mrp systems, including planning, scheduling, and inventory management processes.
- advanced english communication skills, both written and verbal.
- excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- proven capability to manage multiple priorities while delivering results in a dynamic manufacturing operation.
