We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Quality Engineer to join our team in Juárez, Mexico. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the mass production quality of our server and rack products, manufactured at our partner facilities. You will be a key player in maintaining our high-quality standards by driving root cause and corrective actions. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills and strong communication to collaborate effectively with our internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Manufacturing Quality Oversight: Actively monitor and support mass production of our server and rack systems at partner manufacturing facilities ensuring strict adherence to our quality standards.
Incident Triage and Resolution: Promptly investigate and triage product quality incidents reported from our data centers by identifying root cause and driving effective corrective/preventive actions (RCCA).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Hardware Quality Engineering team to proactively identify and mitigate production and shipment risks to ensure a seamless supply chain.
Change Management:
Organise and oversee the implementation of hardware and firmware changes at our manufacturing sites to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
Documentation and Reporting: Track and document all active changes, open quality issues and lessons learned to foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in supplier/customer management.
Demonstrated experience in creating supplier/customer quality reports.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and creative thinking skills with experience utilizing associated quality tools. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
Ability to travel to manufacturing facilities as required.
Work Measurements
Issue Response and Resolution: Adherence to the following Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for responding to and driving the closure of factory and data center quality issues:
P0 (Critical): Response and initiation of investigation within 4 hours.
P1 (High): Response and initiation of investigation within 1 business day.
P2 (Medium): Response and initiation of investigation within 3 business days.
P3 (Low): Response and initiation of investigation within 5 business days.
Risk Identification and Escalation: Proactively identifying manufacturing quality and shipment risks, consolidating initial information, and escalating to the Meta Product Quality Engineering (PQE) teams in a timely manner.
Quality Notification and Change Management: Timely creation of quality and change notifications using business tools, with a standard of within 2 business days for regular requests and same-day turnaround for urgent requests.
Report Compliance: Ensuring external partners submit quality reports on schedule and in compliance with established standards.
Documentation and Process Implementation: Timely and accurate preparation of quality documentations as requested, and support new process implementation and site audit.
