a prestigious full-service law firm is seeking an experienced mergers & acquisitions lawyer to join its corporate and m&a; practice in mexico city.

this opportunity is idóneo for a highly motivated attorney with solid transactional experience who is looking to work on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions, advising national and international clients across a broad range of industries.

key responsibilities

- advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, private equity investments, and other strategic transactions.
- draft, review, negotiate, and manage transaction documents, including share purchase agreements, asset purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements, investment agreements, letters of intent, confidentiality agreements, and ancillary documentation.
- lead and coordinate legal due diligence processes, identifying legal risks and developing practical solutions.
- structure and execute complex corporate transactions from inception through closing.
- work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including tax, finance, regulatory, and other practice areas.




- maintain direct communication with domestic and international clients, providing practical, business-oriented legal advice.
- support business development initiatives and contribute to maintaining high standards of client service.

qualifications
- law degree and admission to practice in mexico.
- 4 to 9 years of post-qualification experience (pqe) in m&a;, corporate, or transactional law at a recognized law firm.
- strong experience handling domestic and cross-border m&a; transactions.
- proven ability to draft and negotiate sophisticated transaction documents.
- solid understanding of corporate governance, commercial law, and complex corporate structures.
- excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- fluent english (written and spoken) is mandatory.
- ll.m. or postgraduate degree is considered an advantage.
