role description the senior financial analyst will support m&a; transactions and related advisory projects by performing detailed financial analysis, valuation, and modeling for mid-market companies. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- building and reviewing financial models, analyzing financial statements, preparing client presentations, and supporting due diligence activities for both buy-side and sell-side mandates.
- research industry and market dynamics, reviewing general and industry- specific press to identify trends and m&a; opportunities in mexico.
- create, audit and/or supervise financial modeling for m&a;, project finance and capital raising transactions, presenting written reports with robust analysis, supporting arguments and recommendations.
- take ownership of specific tasks across all phases of the m&a; process: client proposals, status reports, business plans, promotional materials, management presentations, financial and valuation models, and sales presentations with potential clients.




- work directly with clients to gain a high-level understanding of their industry and a detailed knowledge of their business.
- actively participate in meetings with clients, internal staff, transaction counterparts and third-party advisors.

qualifications

- candidates should possess strong finance knowledge, including a solid understanding of corporate finance, valuation concepts, and m&a; transaction fundamentals.
- candidates should possess advanced analytical skills to interpret data, build and analyze complex financial models, and support decision-making under tight timelines, attention to detail and organizational skills.
- candidates should possess expertise in financial statements, including the ability to analyze income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements and identify key performance drivers.
- candidates should possess experience in financial reporting and financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and preparing management and investor-level reports.
- relevant academic background in finance, economics, accounting, business, engineering or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., cfa, cpa) are a plus.
- strong proficiency in excel and powerpoint; experience with financial modeling tools and data providers (e.g., bloomberg, capital iq) is beneficial.
- relevant professional experience in investment banking or related areas (minimum 2 years).
- excellent written and verbal communication skills in english and spanish (above 90%), with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and professionally; additional languages a plus
