About The Role We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Accounting graduate who is eager to develop their career in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
- Support bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
- Assist with accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger activities
- Prepare schedules and reports to support the accounting team
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to obtain financial information as needed
- Support audit requests and other ad hoc accounting projects
Requirements Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, including experience gained while attending university through internships, accounting firms, tax firms, or similar, and/or up to one year of professional experience after graduation
- Strong understanding of accounting principles
- Experience performing general accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close support
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Eligible to work in Mexico
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional License (Título and Cédula) obtained or currently in process
- Previous experience in a public accounting or tax firm
- Experience working in a deadline-driven environment
- Professional English communication skills
