We are seeking an experienced Application Consultant with strong expertise in Retail Point of Sale (POS) and retail store systems to support the implementation of enterprise retail solutions for global customers. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements, configure applications, deliver integrations, and ensure successful implementations across large retail environments.
You must have POS/ Retail experience for this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customer business and technical teams to gather and analyze functional and technical requirements.
- Configure and implement retail POS applications and related store systems.
- Design and support integrations between POS, OMS, loyalty, payments, inventory, and other enterprise applications.
- Conduct solution workshops, technical sessions, and user training.
- Support application configuration, customization, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
- Collaborate with general development and delivery teams to implement customer requirements.
- Provide technical consulting and act as the subject matter expert for retail application capabilities.
- Manage customer stakeholders and ensure successful project delivery.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in a customer-facing application consulting, implementation, or solution consulting role.
- Experience working for a retail software vendor or a large retail organization.
- Strong understanding of retail store operations and retail technology.
- Proven experience implementing enterprise retail applications.
Required Domain Expertise
- Retail Point of Sale (POS) – essential
- Order Management Systems (OMS) – highly preferred
- Store Inventory
- Store Payments
- Omnichannel Retail
- Clienteling
- Loyalty (preferred but not mandatory)
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Strong requirements gathering and business analysis skills
- Solution design and problem-solving
- Workshop facilitation and presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written English communication
- Ability to work with global, cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud-based retail platforms.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Exposure to low-code platforms.
- Experience with enterprise retail implementations across multiple countries.
