Senior Project Manager
Location: Hybrid position (applicants must live in the Guadalajara metropolitan area)
Schedule: Full-time | 8-hour shift aligned with U.S. business hours
Monthly Salary: starting from $66,000 MXN (based on experience and certifications)
English Level Required: Advanced C1 or Fluent (with little to no accent)
Position Overview
We are currently hiring a Senior Project Manager for a full-time remote or hybrid position.
This is a senior hands-on delivery leadership role responsible for driving execution across software development, IT operations, infrastructure, and business teams.
You will oversee planning, project tracking, Jira workflows, Confluence documentation, cross-functional coordination, release readiness, and incident management to ensure projects move efficiently from request to completion.
This role is idóneo for a highly organized project leader who enjoys structure, ownership, problem-solving, and keeping technical teams aligned under real delivery pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Strategic Execution
- Coordinate portfolios, projects, roadmaps, and transformation initiatives
- Align priorities, milestones, resources, and dependencies across teams
- Translate business goals into structured execution plans
- Track business outcomes and delivery progress
Jira & Confluence Ownership
- Manage Jira boards, workflows, dashboards, and reporting accuracy
- Maintain organized Confluence spaces, project documentation, and knowledge bases
- Improve visibility, accountability, and system-of-record quality
Ticket Intake & Work Prioritization
- Review incoming requests and ensure clear requirements before development begins
- Define acceptance criteria, priorities,



and routing to the correct teams
- Prevent incomplete or unclear work from entering active queues
Team Coordination & Delivery Follow-Up
- Assign work based on priorities, skills, and capacity
- Run stand-ups or progress check-ins with technical teams
- Identify blockers early and drive solutions quickly
- Keep workstreams moving on schedule
Status Reporting & Executive Communication
- Publish weekly project status updates and dashboards
- Provide executive-ready summaries of risks, progress, and next steps
- Maintain transparency with no surprises
Testing, Releases & Incident Coordination
- Coordinate UAT, regression testing, bug tracking, and release readiness
- Lead communication during production incidents
- Ensure post-incident reviews and action plans are completed
Maintenance & Upgrade Tracking
- Maintain calendars for patches, renewals, upgrades, and end-of-life systems
- Coordinate maintenance windows with business stakeholders
**Requirements**:
- 7+ years of project management experience
- 3+ years managing software development or technical teams
- Advanced expertise with Jira and Confluence
- Strong experience in Agile, Scrum, and Kanban environments
- Technical literacy: able to work closely with engineers and understand dependencies




- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Experience coordinating incidents, releases, and cross-functional projects
- Strong written communication for leadership and executive audiences
- Ability to work aligned with U.S. business hours
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Prince2, or equivalent certification
- Experience with distributed teams across multiple countries
- Experience in SaaS, IT transformation, or platform migration projects
- Familiarity with Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools
- Experience using AI productivity tools such as Claude Code or similar
- English required; Spanish is a plus
