GFG Real Estate Asset Management

Ciudad de México

GFG Real Estate Asset Management is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking AVP, Commercial Strategy to help shape and oversee commercial performance across its hospitality portfolio.

This position requires deep expertise in hotel Revenue Strategy, combined with a broader understanding of sales, marketing, distribution, digital commerce, operations, and profitability.

The AVP will evaluate how each asset generates revenue, identify opportunities that may be overlooked by operators or brands, and develop strategies that maximize total profitable revenue—not simply occupancy or room revenue.

This is not a traditional property-level Revenue Management position. It is an ownership-focused strategic role responsible for challenging conventional thinking, connecting commercial decisions to financial outcomes, and ensuring operators execute the right strategies for each asset.

The idóneo candidate is analytical, commercially creative, proactive, open-minded, and comfortable moving between detailed revenue analysis, strategic planning, operator discussions, property visits, and executive-level presentations.

Commercial Strategy and Portfolio Performance

- Develop integrated commercial strategies for individual properties and the broader hospitality portfolio.
- Evaluate each asset’s market position, customer segmentation, competitive environment, demand generators, business mix, and growth potential.
- Identify underdeveloped revenue opportunities and recommend actionable strategies to capture incremental demand, improve market share, and strengthen profitability.
- Connect Revenue Management, sales, marketing, distribution, digital commerce, and operations into one cohesive commercial plan.
- Support commercial strategies associated with acquisitions, renovations, conversions, repositionings, openings, and other major asset initiatives.

Revenue Strategy and Optimization

- Provide expert oversight of hotel pricing, inventory, segmentation, forecasting, yield management, and channel strategies.
- Review business on the books, booking pace, pickup, demand patterns, market compression, competitive pricing, and forward-looking indicators.
- Evaluate recommendations made by hotel operators, brands, and third-party revenue providers against ownership objectives.
- Identify opportunities to improve occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, revenue-generation index, net revenue contribution,

and total revenue performance.
- Improve forecasting accuracy and establish portfolio-level Revenue Strategy standards and performance benchmarks.

Total Revenue and Profitability

- Expand the revenue focus beyond guestrooms to include food and beverage, meetings and events, catering, spa and wellness, parking, retail, resort fees, activities, upgrades, packages, and other ancillary opportunities.
- Identify new products, experiences, partnerships, and monetization opportunities.
- Evaluate revenue opportunities based on net contribution—not simply gross production.
- Partner with operations and finance to ensure commercial strategies improve flow-through, margins, cash flow, and overall asset value.

Distribution and Digital Commerce

- Evaluate the cost and effectiveness of direct, brand, OTA, wholesale, group, corporate, consortia, and other distribution channels.
- Identify opportunities to improve channel mix, reduce acquisition costs, and increase net revenue contribution.
- Review property visibility, positioning, pricing, and conversion across major booking and distribution platforms.
- Assess digital marketing plans, promotional campaigns, and e-commerce investments based on measurable revenue contribution and return on investment.
- Monitor emerging commercial technologies, artificial intelligence applications, and Revenue Management capabilities.

Operator and Brand Oversight

- Serve as GFG’s commercial-strategy representative in meetings with operators, brands, revenue leaders, sales teams, marketing teams, and property executives.
- Hold operators accountable for developing and executing competitive and profitable commercial strategies.
- Review weekly and monthly performance, identify material gaps, and establish clear action plans.
- Ensure recommendations are supported by data, market intelligence, and financial reasoning.
- Visit properties and markets to understand the product, competitive landscape, guest experience, destination trends,

and unrealized opportunities.

Analytics and Executive Reporting

- Deliver executive-level reporting on portfolio performance, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Analyze ADR, occupancy, RevPAR, TRevPAR, GOPPAR, market-share indexes, booking pace, channel costs, forecast accuracy, and profitability by segment.
- Translate complex information into concise findings and commercially actionable recommendations.
- Contribute to the continued development of GFG’s business-intelligence and performance-reporting capabilities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, finance, economics, marketing, or a related field.
- Approximately 10 or more years of progressive hospitality commercial or Revenue Strategy experience, including multi-property responsibility.
- Demonstrated expertise in hotel pricing, forecasting, segmentation, inventory management, distribution, and competitive analysis.
- Strong understanding of hotel operating statements and the relationship between commercial decisions, profitability, cash flow, and asset value.
- Experience working with major hotel brands, independent properties, third-party operators, or hospitality ownership groups.
- Proven ability to improve revenue performance, market share, and profitability.
- Advanced analytical and financial-modeling capabilities, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, business-intelligence tools, and hotel commercial systems.
- Ability to travel regularly.
- Professional fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is highly desirable.

Leadership Profile The successful candidate will be:

- Proactive, dynamic, and highly analytical.
- Open-minded and willing to challenge conventional thinking.
- Creative in identifying new revenue and profitability opportunities.
- Comfortable influencing operators and stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.
- Hands-on, accountable, and committed to following initiatives through implementation.
- Commercially disciplined and focused on profitable contribution and asset value.
- Eager to help build what comes next.

Apply If you are ready to help redefine how total revenue and profitability are maximized across a hospitality portfolio, we would like to hear from you.
