Responsible for providing general accounting services to the Company, including support for financial reporting and research of accounting issues, as well as reporting and analysis for fixed assets and other designated areas.
**What are the most common activities?
**
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**:
In order to grow and build a successful career at The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:
- Review, set up, monitor, capitalize, and retire all capital equipment requests in accordance with company policy.
- Collaborate with divisions and corporate functions in adhering to the company investment approval process and ensure that investment authorization requests submitted for approval comply with corporate standards.
- Provide general accounting support for designated divisions including month end close, account reconciliations, and analysis.
- Provide regular summary level reporting to management, tracking capital expenditures vs. plan and projection.
- Provide exception reporting on open capital projects vs. plan.
- Review and explain variances on capital items to support divisional management reporting.
- Provide ad hoc business financial analysis support for projects and fixed assets.




- Drive automation of manual processes including asset capitalization and property tax reporting.
- Responsible for internal controls related to fixed assets, including SOX compliance.
- Facilitate the biannual fixed asset physical inventory review.
- Responsible for quarterly fixed asset roll forward.
- Prepare and file state and local property taxes for all domestic locations.
- Perform other related duties and special projects that may be assigned.
**What do you need?
**
**Job Qualifications**
To be considered for this position, an individual must meet the following minimum requirements:
- BA/BS degree in accounting.
- 2 years minimum of applicable experience required in the accounting field.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- SAP, Tress & REPSE experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated systems acumen and strong analytical skills.
**Preferred Requirements**:
- CPA.
- English - 75%
- Lean Standard Work.
