Position Overview

We are seeking a Mid-Level Data Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Azure data technologies to design, develop, and optimize modern data solutions that support enterprise analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

In this role, you will work closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, Architects, and business stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and high-quality data platforms. The adecuado candidate has hands-on experience developing cloud-based data pipelines within the Azure ecosystem and understands modern data engineering practices related to data governance, quality, management, and enterprise analytics.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale data modernization initiatives, improve data accessibility and trustworthiness, and enable business insights through robust cloud-native data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Development

- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
- Develop and optimize data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Databricks.
- Build data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes across structured and unstructured data sources.




- Create reusable and high-performance data workflows using SQL, Python, and C# where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain data models to support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.

Cloud & Platform Engineering
- Support cloud-based data platform development within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Improve existing data architecture through automation, optimization, and scalability enhancements.
- Support CI/CD deployment pipelines for data engineering solutions.
- Work with containerized and distributed data processing environments when applicable.

Analytics & Reporting
- Build and maintain Power BI datasets that enable reporting and analytics capabilities.
- Ensure data quality, reliability, and accessibility for business users and analytics teams.

Collaboration & Support
- Partner with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders to understand and deliver data requirements.
- Troubleshoot production data issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Participate in code reviews and promote data engineering best practices.
- Contribute to data governance, quality, and management initiatives.

Required Experience & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,



Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Development, or related roles.
- Strong SQL development experience.
- Experience building enterprise-scale data pipelines and integration solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Experience with Azure Databricks.
- Strong Python development skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining Power BI datasets or supporting reporting solutions.
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed data processing environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control tools.
- Understanding of:

- Experience performing root cause analysis for data-related issues.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with C# development.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience working with Git and Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible.
- Experience supporting:
- Data Governance initiatives
- Data Quality programs
- Enterprise Data Management practices
- Exposure to Azure Data Lake solutions.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
- Familiarity with GraphQL and Cypher.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications.
