Biochemistry Subject Matter Expert (AI Training) About The Role We're looking for PhD-level Biochemists to help evaluate and improve the world's most advanced AI models. Your scientific expertise will directly shape how AI reasons through complex topics like protein folding, metabolic flux, enzyme kinetics, and molecular genetics — making a real impact on the future of AI in life sciences. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role.
No prior AI experience is required — just deep biochemistry knowledge and a sharp analytical mind.

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week What You'll Do Design Challenging Problems — Create advanced biochemistry problems across domains like nucleic acid chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and drug-target interactions to rigorously test AI performance
Author Ground-Truth Solutions — Write precise, step-by-step technical solutions that serve as benchmarks for high-level scientific reasoning in AI systems
Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI-generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy and adherence to scientific standards
Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical errors — such as incorrect stoichiometry, flawed stereochemistry, or misapplied enzyme kinetics — and provide structured feedback to improve how AI models think through life science problems
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule Who You Are Advanced Degree: PhD completed or in final stages in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field
Domain Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge in one or more areas — structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, bioinformatics, or molecular genetics
Clear Communicator: Able to translate highly technical biological and chemical concepts into precise, well-structured written explanations
Detail-Oriented: High level of precision when reviewing complex chemical equations, molecular diagrams, and experimental protocols
No prior AI experience required Nice to Have Experience with data annotation, data quality review, or evaluation systems
Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, AlphaFold, or BLAST
