Collections Specialist for a US bookkeeping company supporting small and mid-sized 3PL and Trucking Brokerage company. This role is for an experienced collections professional who can independently manage aging, customer outreach, payment commitments, difficult balances, QuickBooks updates and follow-up through resolution.

What you will do

- Review QuickBooks aging and collection reports and prioritize overdue accounts.
- Contact customers by phone and email regarding outstanding balances, payment dates and missing information.
- Negotiate realistic payment commitments and follow every promise-to-pay, complaint and dispute.
- Update QuickBooks and collection records with complete same-day notes and documented next actions.
- Monitor incoming payments, identify broken commitments and escalate material risks appropriately.
- Prepare concise activity, aging and collection-performance reports.

What we are looking for
- Minimum 5 years of specialized collections or accounts-receivable experience.




- Strong hands-on experience with both phone and email collections.
- Practical QuickBooks experience — required.
- Strong negotiation, payment follow-up and professional customer-contact skills.
- Experience working difficult, old or repeatedly missed balances.
- Proven record of meeting collection KPIs and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Self-management, persistence, organization and reliable follow-through without repeated reminders.
- Demonstrated sustained productivity and stable performance across collection cycles.

What success looks like You keep assigned accounts current and traceable, follow commitments on time, document every next action, maintain accurate QuickBooks records, provide reliable KPI visibility and move collection problems toward resolution rather than simply reporting them.
