We are looking for an experienced

Data Engineer to join an Agile team focused on building innovative healthcare applications and developing scalable data products. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize modern data pipelines and APIs while following software engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using

Python

,

FastAPI

, and

PySpark

.

- Design, build, and support data products and APIs for healthcare applications.

- Work with

AWS Glue

(Jobs, Crawlers, Data Catalog) and other AWS services, including

S3, Athena, IAM, and CloudWatch

.

- Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes and optimize data models for analytics.

- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for data and API workloads, including testing, deployment, artifact versioning, and environment promotion.

- Design secure, scalable RESTful APIs using best practices, including

OAuth2/JWT authentication.

- Optimize SQL queries and improve analytical data performance.

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.

- Participate in code reviews,



version control, and branching strategies using Git.

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.

- Strong expertise in

Python

(data manipulation, testing, packaging).

- Hands-on experience with

FastAPI

, including asynchronous programming, dependency injection, Pydantic models, routers, and middleware.

- Strong experience with

AWS Glue and

PySpark

.

- Solid understanding of

ETL/ELT

, data modeling, schema design, partitioning, and file formats such as

Parquet and

ORC

.

- Experience implementing

CI/CD pipelines for data engineering projects.

- Strong knowledge of

Git

, code review processes, and branching strategies.

- Experience designing and consuming

REST APIs

.

- Knowledge of API security (OAuth2/JWT), logging, monitoring, and observability.

- Advanced SQL skills and query performance optimization.

- Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
