Field Application Engineer – Electronics Zephyr Technologies | Mexico City (Hybrid) | Full-time Company Description Zephyr Technologies is a regional franchise distributor of electronic components, dedicated to delivering top-tier service and building trust in every transaction. Through advanced automation and cutting-edge software, we optimize the supply chain for customers worldwide. We're looking for a Field Application Engineer to be the primary technical point of contact for clients in the region.

This is a client-facing, hands-on role: you'll visit customers on-site, understand their engineering challenges, and recommend the right components and solutions. You will support the sales team as the technical expert in client conversations — not act as the primary salesperson.

Your role is to bridge the gap between engineering and sales, ensuring customers get the right technical guidance while the sales team drives the commercial relationship.



Conduct on-site visits to clients and prospects to provide technical consultation and support Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate electronic components and solutions Act as the technical support for the sales team during client visits and proposals — providing engineering expertise, not leading the commercial negotiation Build and maintain strong relationships with engineering and procurement contacts at key accounts Provide first-level technical support to customers throughout the project lifecycle Collaborate with internal engineering teams on component selection and validation Manage multiple client accounts and projects simultaneously Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, or related field ~5+ years of experience in a client-facing technical role, field engineering, or technical sales support ~ Solid understanding of electronic components and general design principles ~ Working knowledge of PCB design, embedded systems, or IoT is a plus (not required) ~ Strong commercial acumen — comfortable supporting sales cycles and technical conversations ~ Advanced English proficiency (B2+); Spanish required ~ Self-driven, organized, and comfortable working with minimal supervision ~ Major medical insurance (SGMM) ~ Gym membership support ~ Psychology/mental health support coverage (1 year) ~
