We are looking for General Operatives to join our busy operations team and support the growth and development of our rail infrastructure and project developments.

Reporting to the Assistant Production Managers, this is a demanding and dynamic role.

This is a full time role working approximately 39 hours per week.

Key Activities

- Operate within a small team to produce rail segments
- Minimise waste & maximise quality of products
- Report any defects to line management
- Carry out routine inspections of production machinery/parts
- Ensure excellent housekeeping standards in line with site safety requirements
- Ensure all HSQE requirements are complied with
- Take ownership of the role
- Operate mobile plant when necessary
- Assist production teams to achieve daily production targets by remaining proactive & self motivated

- Applications are invited from candidates with a precast concrete background though this is not essential as training will be provided
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to prioritise own workload and tasks
- Ability work safely and in accordance with the health & safety policy
- A adaptable and positive “can do” approach with a team working attitude
- Excellent time keeping, attendance and working flexibility
- Good verbal communication skills
- IOSH awareness desirable
