This position is a key part of the Procurement Department. Primary responsibility is to provide functional management for Business Unit Procurement resources executing supply chain strategies in key categories of direct materials purchases. Results will set in place an effective supply chain that supports the Business Unit’s operational goals for customer satisfaction, operational excellence through Perfect Execution and financial performance. The Commodity Manager will oversee development and execution of supply chain strategy for direct material purchases which may include raw material, electronic components, manufactured products, fabricated parts, buyouts, equipment or other operating supplies.
**Responsibilities**:
Setting policy and strategy for electronic/electrical components sourced globally Develop and manage Sourcing/Negotiation/RFQ events Develop strong working relationship with corporate, Latin America and GSC Procurement teams Lead contract negotiations, administration, and compliance Monitor and report on all key performance indicators ensuring minimum performance requirements Fiscal oversight for profit contribution, trade working capital efficacy and capital spending Manage supply chain sustainability issues in capacity planning. Asset management; raw materials availability and inventory agreements; supply risk assessment; trade compliance. Align, prepare, and present supplier award recommendations.
