**POSITION TITLE: GENERAL PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR**
**OBJECTIVE**: Directs and Coordinates through Subordinate Supervisory Personnel the
activities of a Production Area or Shift according to Quantity and Quality specifications.
**MAIN FUNCTIONS**:
1. Directs and Coordinates through Subordinate Supervisory Personnel the activities of a
Production Area or Shift, by: reviewing Production Orders or Schedules to ascertain Product
Data, such as Types, Quantities and Specifications of Products and Scheduled Delivery Dates
in order to plan the Area’s or Shift’s Operations according to Quantity and Quality specifications.
2. Plans and Coordinates with the Production Manager the Production Operations establishing
priorities and sequences for Manufacturing Products utilizing knowledge of Production
Processes and Methods, Machine and Equipment capabilities as well as Manpower
requirements.
3. Prepares Operational Schedules and Coordinates Manufacturing activities to meet
Specifications as well as reviewing Production and Operating Reports solving Operational




Manufacturing and Maintenance Problems to insure Minimum Costs and prevent Operational
Delays.
4. Inspects Machines and Equipment to insure Specifications, Operational Performance and
Optimum Utilization.
5. Responsible for Evaluating the Performance of Subordinates and Recommending the
Appropriate Development Plans.
6. Develops, Modifies and Maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the Production
Function.
**REPORTS TO**:Production Manager.
**JOB POSITIONS THAT CAN REPORT DIRECTLY**:Production Supervisors.
**NUMBER OF SUBORDINATES THAT REPORT DIRECTLY**:2 to 20 (Avg. 6).
**EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS**:Engineering or other Professional Degree or
Equivalent Experience.
**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:More than 5 Years Managing Production Programs and
Supervising Personnel.
**LEVEL OF ENGLISH FLUENCY**:3. Intermediate (Technical Reading and Conversation).
**COMPUTER USAGE**:2. Interm
